oh christmas tree

we did it. we found the perfect christmas tree. after walking around the forest for longer than expected, we spotted a keeper. although the tree was about 17.3 feet too tall for our tiny house, we still wanted it. i wanted it because it was pretty. cameron wanted it because it was the closest tree to the truck that actually looked half way decent. so down it came. we were so excited-our first christmas tree.

this was our cameron's first choice of a tree. i "x"ed that idea pretty quickly.

yep. this is it. our beautiful tree.
p.s. - our ceiling is about eight feet tall.

this is cameron's mittened hand. cutting down our tree.

"TIMBER". the tree finally fell down, and we loaded it in the truck.

our tree "hunting" experience was a great one! we had a lot of fun, and it was a beautiful day. it was fun to be around the family and have so much fun. even though we had to wait for millions of hours for grandpa to pick a tree. he never did pick one. instead, he stole the one james chopped down. for those of you who do not understand the irony in this, just trust us. this was a hilarious and time consuming ordeal.

luckily we finally made it home with everyone alive and well. it was a great experience to be with our family and to get our own big (then little) tree. when we got home, we named our tree pilphord. it is really cute, and decorated pictures of pilphord will be up shortly!
